May 2018

Once again we stayed in the cottage near Ballymahon. The weather was quite pleasant for most of the time.

At each venue we visited, we did not catch as many fish as we usually do, for whatever reason but we enjoyed the holiday. Below are a few of the fish that we caught.

Well, that's it until September

September 2018

This time we hired this bungalow in Elphin

For the first few days the weather was fairly comfortable. The last few days were cold and windy with rain showers. We met up with Brian Bohan  ( a man I haven't met for several years)at Cloonahee Lake Co. Roscommon.

However, we braved the weather and caught our share of fish. We fished the River Boyle at Cootehall and the Boyle canal which runs off the Boyle river for most of the time. Below are a sample of the fish we caught.

The River Boyle at Cootehall produced some good catches of quality fish. In fact, one day I caught over 60 fish

Well, the end of our trips for this year. Hopefully we'll be back in May next year
